In a few hours, I am off to Paris! I have reviewed my experiences and budget thus far and am fairly prepared for the most expensive city in Europe. I also picked up a real journal for daily scribblings and all that jazz! Speaking of jazz, there are many jazz clubs in Amsterdam but very little dance. The dancers I have met specialize in Latin or club-dance and have never heard of 'blues dance' before. For all of the great music in this city, I am fairly surprised!
Additionally, hostels really are the best places to meet fellow travelers and other interesting people. They are entirely different from the tourists who wander likewise through the canals and alleyways - possessing a certain curiosity and, of course, desire for adventure.
